Loblolly Gallery, South Hill Plaza, West End, T2263. Open Tue-Sat 0900-1700, features 4 local artists working in oil and acrylic.

l'Atelier Galley in a distinctive old West Indian building in the village of North Hill. Michèle Lavalette, a French artist and photographer who specializes in flowers, in oil, acrylic and pastels, has her studio in North Hill, T5668. Open daily 1000-1730, she has designed postage stamps. Michele has designed several series of "special issue" stamps for the Anguillan Post Office, including the celebrating the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' first voyage to the New World. Many of her original artworks are exclusively available at her studio and art gallery "L'Atelier” in North Hill, Anguilla that is a typical old West Indian house. Mother Weme (Weme Caster) sells originals and limited edition prints of her paintings of local scenes from her home on the Sea Rocks, near Island Harbour, T4504 for an appointment, prices for prints start from US$75 and for her acrylic and oil paintings from US$300. Coming from The Valley, turn right at the road just before the Sandy Ground roundabout, pass the paint store and wander through the North Hill village, trying to keep going straight, until you pass the basketball court. Savannah Gallery, on the road to Crocus Bay, The Valley, T2263, F4017. Paintings, prints and crafts from all over the Caribbean, a lot of Haitian art, several local artists too. Showcases contemporary.

The Arts and Craft Centre, next to the Public Library, T2949. Pottery, lace, locally made dolls, shell art, paintings and prints.

Cheddie’s Carving Studio, on the main road west, T6027. Cheddie Richardson is a wood sculptor who uses the rose berry roots found among the rocks on the shore, some of his pieces have been cast in bronze.

Bookshop: National Bookstore, in the Social Security Complex next to Cable and Wireless, The Valley. Open Mon-Sat 0800-1700, wide selection of novels, magazines, non-fiction, Children books, tourist guides, Caribbean history and literature, managed by Mrs Kelly. A Dictionary of Anguillian Language has been published in a 34 page booklet, edited by Ijahnia Christian of the Adult and Continuing Education Unit following the Cultural Educational Fest.
