Cedar Valley Golf Club

Cedar Valley Golf Club, Antigua and Barbuda

The finest public golf course in the Caribbean!

The Cedar Valley Golf Club is a public course owned by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda with a small number of private shareholders - no membership is required although it is available. The club is situated in a range of sloping hills with some steep valleys - it is varied and challenging - you do not want to visit the rough here - you may not find your way out! If you need exercise, don't take the cart - walk it - the hilly terrain is all the exercise you can handle. The climb up to the tee at the 5th is dramatic and many walkers hitch a ride with one of the Security Guards carts! (I do, anyway!) Once you are up there, turn around and look back at one of the most arresting sights in golf!

9 547 5 1   18 416 4 6

The total course length is 5,932 yards. Don't cut any corners!

This magnificent golf course is located on the northern end of the Island, minutes away from major resorts and hotels and within 3 miles from the capital St. John’s and the cruise ship port, making it easily accessible to cruise ship passengers. You can improve your swing on the 300 yards driving Range. This is also the ideal place to learn the game with Professional teachers.

Hole of the Week - the 6th hole starts in the sky with an unsighted drive over a steeply sloping downgrade about 50 yards away - deceptive since there is also a steep cut into the hill across the fairway filled with one of Antigua's most prickly bushes which you cannot see - make sure you carry it or stay very tightly left! If you whack it real hard with that inevitable slice to the right (or hook to the left for you leftie's), then forget it - the fairway disappears into a deep valley with mud and water at the bottom - another good reason for staying left on this hole. Once you have cleared these obstacles, a broad fairway and an inviting green overlooked by gently swaying trees awaits - so all you have to do is get it in the hole!

A visit to clubhouse lounge to unwind will compliment your round. Also visit pro- shop; offer a Wide range of golf equipments, accessories and logo items.
