Sky diving is now available in Aruba with Sky Dive Aruba. Beginners can do a tandem jump from 10,000 ft to a drop zone near the Fisherman’s Huts on the salt pans on the northwest coast. Soaring from 10,000 feet, you will see the Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón State, and Venezuela just 17 miles to the south. Together with Bonaire and Curaçao just a short distance away. An early morning jump is US$195 and afternoon US$215. There are plans to cater for certified jumpers and those who want to get their TAFF certification. Air Adventures Aruba owns and operates a Cessna 206 to fly its jumpers safely to altitude. It has a new 2009 IO550 engine which is the largest, most powerful and safest available for the C-206 aircraft. It also has a fresh paint job along with a new interior, and is held to the strictest FAA standards and maintenance guidelines.
