Accommodations in Aruba

A 17.66% tax/service charge must be added; some hotels also add a US$1.50-5.75 per day energy surcharge.

Glittering luxury hotels jostle for space along Druif Bay, and Eagle and Palm beaches. At the end of the 1990s nearly all the resorts along this hotel strip added rooms or upgraded existing facilities. Decent, cheap accommodation is now very difficult to find. The Aruba Hotel And Tourism Association (AHATA) members offer accommodation at less than US$100 but to get a double room at that price at one of the large hotels you will have to negotiate a package deal in advance. Summer rates are substantially less than high season winter rates (16 Dec-15 Apr).
