GEOGRAPHY:
Belize lies on the east coast of Central America bordered by Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the west and south, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. It is 174 mls long & 68 mls wide. Belize's 8,867 sq mls is dominated by mountains & waterfalls. About 15 mls offshore stretches the second largest coral reef in the world, nearly 190 mls of crystal clear reefs forming a barrier and over cayes along its eastern coastline.

Phillip S.W. Goldson International Airport is 9 mls from Belize City and not from the old capital, Belize City. Belmopan City is the capital. Belmopan City is located 50 mls west of Belize City.

All visitors require a passport. Certain categories require a visa. U.S. citizens, Canadians, and Nationals of EEC member nations do not require visas.
