  • December 25: Christmas Day.
  • December 26: Boxing Day. Horse Race (Burrel Boom) and Cycle Race.

TRANSPORTATION:

There is a regular bus service to Melchor, Guatemala, Mexican Border and Chetumal in Mexico. Maya Island Air and Tropic Air have scheduled flights from Belize City and to the cayes and district towns. Ferry service is also available to the cayes and from Punta Gorda to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, and from Dangriga to Puerto Cortez, Honduras.
