MARRIAGE REGULATIONS:

Couples getting married must reside in Belize for at least three (3) days prior to their application being processed. Proof of citizenship is needed, an original birth certificate with a raised seal, or signed by a notary public, which includes father's name, or a valid passport would all be considered as such a proof. If applicable, proof of divorce (a certified copy or an original copy of your divorce certificate), or a death decree in the event that one of the partners getting married is a widow or widower. Two witnesses needed at the time of the marriage ceremony.

The cost of the license is US$100 per couple plus US$5 administration fee. Consent from a parent is not required if over 18 years of age. A blood test is not required. A marriage ceremony can be performed by a priest, a senior Justice of the Peace being that it is done in the Magistrate’s Court, The Registrar General and a Deputy Registrar General being that it is done at the Registry Department. PET REGULATIONS:
