Bonaire is not a major shopping centre, though some shops do stock high quality low duty goods. Sales tax is 5%. The Harbourside Shopping Mall contains small boutiques and a 1 hr photo processing shop, Kodalux, T7178123.

Photo Tours at Plaza Resort Bonaire, also offers full underwater facilities and equipment rental. Local arts and crafts are largely sea-based and fabrics. The state owned Fundashon Arte Industri Bonairano and the privately owned Caribbean Arts and Crafts shop are both in Kralendijk for souvenirs.

A local music group, Piedra di Boneiru, which plays on local, native instruments, has recorded 2 CDs, available locally, of Bonairean and Antillean songs. The largest supermarket is Cultimara, T7178278, with groceries and some household goods, or there are several minimarkets. Sand Dollar Grocery, open daily, is located in a small plaza in front of the Sand Dollar Beach Club along with Lovers Ice Cream Parlour. Near the Divi Flamingo a turning opposite leads to Joke’s grocery and mini-market.
