The Arawak House of Culture, Hillsborough Street in Roseau, next to Government Headquarters, can seat 540 for plays, concerts, dance shows and recitals. Performances are also held at the Old Mill Cultural Centre in Canefield.


Mid-week entertainment at Anchorage and Reigate Waterfront hotels. Weekends at Fort Young Hotel, Friday night happy hour 1800-1900, live music, popular with ex-pats, tourists and locals alike, nightclub open Friday and Saturday. Symes-Zee on King George V Street is the spot to be on Thursday night with live jazz and friendly atmosphere.

Discos at Canefield: Warehouse on Saturday, in converted sugar mill by the airport, gets going after 2400. Recommended. For lovers of zouk music, try WCK, Midnight Grooves or First Serenade; the disco at the Q-Club on Friday gets going after 2400. Scorpio’s Disco, Morne Daniel, upmarket, a/c, gets going after 2400. Cellars Bar, downstairs at Sutton Place Hotel, Old Street. Lively after-work bar, big screen TV, karaoke, jazz, a/c. Carib Cinema, Old Street and Kennedy Avenue.
