There is a nine-hole golf course at the Grenada Golf and Country Club, Woodlands, above Grand Anse; the club is open daily 0800 to sunset, but only till 1200 on Sunday (T4444128).

Hotels have tennis courts and public courts are found at Grand Anse and Tanteen, St George’s.
Cricket, the island’s main land sport, is played from January to June. The locals play on any piece of fairly flat ground or on the beaches.
Soccer is also played.
Volleyball can be played at the Aquarium Beach Club after snorkelling on the reef. It is a fun spot on a secluded beach just below Point Salines off the airport road, T4441410.
Excellent, if muddy, in the Grand Étang National Park (see Flora & Fauna). An annual international triathlon is held in January, with a 1 km swim along the Grand Anse beach, a 25 km bicycle race to the airport, St George’s and back to the hotel, then a 5 km run to the Carib brewery and back in individual and relay style. A National Stadium is being built outside St George’s, for completion in 2000 but already in use, which will be used for cultural events and exhibitions as well as sports, and have shops, offices, restaurants and bars. Sports facilities will include an international football and athletics stadium with a capacity for 15,000, a test match cricket ground and a cycle track.
