There are a number of luxury resorts dotted around the coast, lesser establishments and guest houses and a building boom has raised the total number of hotel rooms to 3,758. Deep discounts are available at the larger resorts.

We list here only a very small selection; non-inclusion does not mean non-recommendation. Guest houses in Grand Case are rented from US$350-450 per week, but for low budget accommodation you would be better in the Dutch half.

LL-AL Marine Hotel Simson Beach, T875454, F879211, a Mercure Coralia hotel. 175 rooms and loft suites, lagoon, pool or garden views, a/c, fans, kitchenettes, on beach, popular, pool, children’s pool, tennis, beach volleyball, indoor games, aquagym, windsurfing, restaurant, bar, evening entertainment.

AL-A Royal Beach, T/F878989. Modern, a/c, beachfront but not all rooms have seaview, pool, bar, restaurant, watersports nearby.

Grand Case: AL-B Hévèa, 163 Boulevard de Grand Case, T875685, F878388. Small colonial-style hotel, 4 rooms, 3 studios, 3 apartments with kitchenettes, gourmet restaurant, beach across the street.

AL-A Grand Case Beach Club, 23 Route de Petite Plage, T875187, F875993. 76 rooms and apartments, watersports, on the beach, orchestra plays in the evening in high season.

AL Chez Martine, T875159, F878730. Five rooms, one suite, excellent restaurant, overlooks Grand Case Bay.

LL-A Le Pavillon Beach, Plage de Grand Case, T879646, F877104. New, elegant hotel on lagoon, walking distance from Grand Case, six studios, 17 suites and one honeymoon suite, a/c, fans, TV, kitchenettes, phones, beach, watersports and land sports can be arranged.

Anse Marcel: LL-AL Le Meridien, BP 581, T876700, F873038. In two parts: L’Habitation, 266 rooms and Le Domaine, 145 rooms, the latter more expensive but both 4-star, marina alongside for boat trips, surrounded by 150-acre nature reserve, two pools, jacuzzis, health club, tennis, squash, racquet ball courts, archery, shuttle to towns and casino, four restaurants, bars.

Baie Orientale: LL Club Orient (naturist), T873385, F873376. Tennis, volleyball, watersports, massage, 80 rooms or chalets for 3-4 people, restaurant.
