There are no long distance sea communications except cruise ships which usually stay 5-9 hrs.

Boat Documents: Yacht clearance is done at the port, both in and out. Off season hours 0900-1200, 1300-1600 Monday-Friday, 0900-1200 Saturday, longer hours in season, page port Authority for Sunday clearance.
Marinas: No fee yet for Simpson Lagoon bridge. Dutch bridge openings 0600, 1100, and 1730, outbound boats first. The French side opens Monday-Saturday 0900, 1400, 1730, Sunday 0900, 1730. Good groceries and laundry in Lagoon. Radio net VHF 78 at 0730. Send mail with someone flying out or Federal Express. Duty free Caribbean headquarters for boat parts, outboard motors, beer.

Entry Requirements: U.S. citizens may stay up to three months providing they show proof of citizenship in the form of a valid passport, or an original birth certificate with raised seal and photo ID. Naturalized citizens may show Naturalization Certificate. Resident aliens must provide their Alien Registration Green card or a temporary Green card which allows them to leave and re enter the U.S. Visitors who intend to stay more than 90 days must apply for a residency permit from the office of the Lt. Governor. All visitors must have an onward ticket and a confirmed room reservation before arrival to the island.
