Golf
An 18-hole championship golf course opened November 1992 (black tees 3,202yds, white tees 2,865yds). Owned by the water company, it is located within walking distance of the Club Med, Allegro Resort, Grace Bay Club and Ocean Club. Most hotels offer 3-5 day packages of green fees and mandatory carts, T9465991, F9465992. Licensed snackbar. An amateur open golf championship is held in October. The former Governor created a nine-hole golf course on Grand Turk in the grounds of his residence.

Tennis
There are tennis courts on Grand Turk at the Coral Reef and on Provo at Club Med, Erebus Inn, T9413527 and the Allegro Resort. There are also courts on Pine Cay and at the Parrot Cay Resort and on North Caicos at Club Vacanze. A small but active squash community welcomes visitors and can be contacted at Johnston Apartments, Kings Court, T9465683.
Body Building
Island Network sports and fitness centre with aqua/land aerobics is at Ports of Call across from Allegro Resort, contact Darlene, T9464240. Fun & Fit Health Club, at the Erebus Inn, offers weights and machines, aerobics, pool, tennis, personal training and nutrition advice. There is a certified fitness trainer, T9413527, ask for Lisa. On Grand Turk there is a small fitness centre next to South Primary School.
Horse Riding
Horse-riding on Grand Turk can be arranged by phoning Gail Johnston at Arawak Inn, T9462276, and on Salt Cay by contacting Brian Sheedy at Mount Pleasant Guest House.
