Caribbean Tourism

Introduction

Located on the north coast of South America, Venezuela is a land of fascinating contrasts. The country is approximately 950 miles wide and 807 miles long. It is divided into four major regions: Caribbean coast, Andes mountains, plains and jungle.

The coastline, studded with beaches like a string of pearls, is the longest of any country in the Caribbean. Venezuela is a vibrant nation of 20 million friendly people. Although Spanish is the national language, many Venezuelans speak English. The temperature in Caracas averages close to 70 degrees Fahrenheit year-round.
